The short version
Paydesk doesn’t collect any personal data. The app has no account, no analytics and no network access. Your clients, projects, time and invoices stay on your Mac.
This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. If you buy Paydesk or email us, we see only what that takes, as explained below.

The Paydesk app
What the app stores, and where
Paydesk stores what you enter: your business details, clients, projects, tasks, time entries, documents, expenses and receipt images. It keeps them in its library inside the app’s own sandboxed folder on your Mac. We never receive a copy.
No network access
Paydesk is built without the macOS permission to use the network, so it can’t send or receive anything over the internet. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code. In the app, Settings → Data shows “Network access: None” and “Analytics: None”.
When Paydesk hands something to another app
- Email. When you send a document or a reminder, Paydesk opens a new message in Mail with the PDF attached. Mail and your email provider send it; Paydesk doesn’t see what happens next.
- Printing and exports. Printed documents go through macOS printing. Exported files (PDFs, CSVs, the accountant pack and full archives) are saved where you choose. If you save them to a synced folder such as iCloud Drive, that service’s terms apply.
- Reading receipts. Receipt text is read on your Mac with Apple’s on-device text recognition. The image isn’t sent anywhere, and nothing is saved until you confirm it.
Backups
Because the library is an ordinary part of your Mac, it’s included in Time Machine backups and moves with Migration Assistant. Those are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you’ve turned on Share with app developers in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics for the Mac App Store version with us. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.
Buying Paydesk
From the Mac App Store
Apple handles the purchase, payment and download. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple’s handling of your information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.
Directly from us
Direct purchases are handled by Polar, our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record. Polar collects what it needs to take payment and handle tax, such as your name, email address, billing country and card details, under its own privacy policy, shown at checkout. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your purchase and help you later. We never see your full card details.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts or fonts. Every file comes from our own server.
- Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a limited period and aren’t used to profile visitors.
- Links to other websites open in a new tab. Those sites have their own policies.
Email and support
When you email [email protected], we use your address and message only to reply to you and to improve Paydesk. If you ask us to tell you when Paydesk launches, we’ll use your address for that and nothing else. We don’t add anyone to mailing lists, and we don’t sell or share email addresses. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Please don’t send client information you’d rather keep private. If we need a file to fix a problem, we’ll say so and delete it once the problem is fixed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and California law, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. In practice that means support emails and direct-purchase records, because the app itself never sends us anything. Email us and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Paydesk is a business tool and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change affects what the app does with your data, we’ll say so in the release notes too.
